Obituary of Hannelore Leonore Geburt

The passing of Hannelore Leonore Anna Hedwig Gertrud Geburt, wife of the late Dieter Karl Joseph Geburt of Stouffville, Ontario, occurred on 1 May 2018 at the Parkview Home LTC in Stouffville. Born on 24 November 1924 in Holzminden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hermann and Ursula (Paganetti) Flentje.

Hannelore was a member of the St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church in Stouffville and was an active member of the choir for many years.

Hannelore is survived by her children, Peter (Nancy) Geburt of Toronto; Michael (Arlene) Geburt of Winnipeg; Thomas (Elizabeth) Geburt of Oromocto N.B.; Christina (Ken) Caetano of Medford, Oregon USA; and Cornelia (Michael) Burns of Stouffville. She is also survived by her brother Hans (Waltraud) Flentje of Scarborough; sister-in-law Käthe Mann of Willowdale; niece Gaby (Dan) Landry of Orangeville; nephew Christopher Flentje of Keswick ON; grandchildren Kristin, Jason, Ryan, Neil, Nicholas, Justin, Heidi, Philip, Rebecca, Paul, Lucas; step-grandchildren Amanda, Lee, Shawn, Kaleigh; great grandchildren Caleb, Jacob, Nicole, Madison, Thomas, Ellie, Zoë, Samuel, Liam, Lily, Travis, Adelynne; step-grandchildren Hans, Emily, Savannah, Emma.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hannelore was predeceased by her youngest daughter Claudia Geburt; brother-in-law Peter Geburt; nephew Michael Flentje and his wife Arlene.

Visitation will take place at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street, Markham ON on Friday, 4 May 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, 345 Glad Park Avenue, Stouffville ON on Saturday, 5 May 2018 at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Garden at a later date.
