Obituary of Edward Barker

Edward “Ted” Barker

 January 22^nd, 1935 – January 31^st, 2018

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of loving husband and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather on Wednesday January 31^st at Parkview Long Term Care in his 84th year.

Predeceased by his parents Edna and Albert Barker of Liverpool, England and Grandson Kyle Fair.  Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Catherine (Jones).  Dear father of Carol (Scott) Griffin, Gail (Brian) Fair, Susan (Tommy) Galley, Keith (Debbie) Barker, Lynn (Ron) Kalinich.  Granddad to Sarah, Michelle, Cody, Mandy, Justin, Joey, Christopher and Cory and 6 Great Grandchildren.   Family and Friends are asked to please join the family at Dixon Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, (Markham Road), Markham Ontario on Monday February 5^th between 6 pm and 9pm for Visitation and Service will take place on Tuesday, February 6^th at 11:00 am followed by a reception. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ted’s memory to Parkinson Canada or the Children’s Wish Foundation.

The family would like to thank the Parkview Staff for all their excellent care, compassion and respect shown to Ted and entire family while Ted was a resident there till the end. Much love to all the staff on Maplegrove.
