Lois and family
I am truly sorry for your loss. Lawrence was a friend of mine of whom I have many fond memories extending back to our time at Box Grove public school and into our years as young men. We enjoyed our common interest in sports and in particular hockey.
Lawrence and I had fellowship in our love for the Lord. We took part in a number of activities together. I have mentioned his name in a positive way to friends over the years.
We are truly blessed to have our hope anchored in th Lord

Marj and I want to extend to Lois and her family our heartfelt condolences on the sudden death of Lawrence.
Lawrence served our Lord with passion using his intellect, wise Biblical insight and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. In our over 20 years of friendship Lawrence and I were able to support each other, sharing our hearts, hopes and faith bathed in times of prayer. Lawrence was not only my friend but he was my trusted counselor, ready to listen, add his wisdom and pray for the concerns I had. (“Two are better than one….If one falls down, his friend can help him up….” Ecclesiastes 9a, 10a) I shall miss you Lawrence.
I count it a privilege to have shared in Lawrence’s life and through him in the life of his wife Lois and their growing family.
As we affirm our sure and certain hope in the Resurrection to eternal life, may our Lord’s shepherding care bless and keep you Lois, and your loved ones now and always.

Lawrence Burkholder is the father in law of my dear friend Stephanie, wife of his youngest son Steve Burkholder. Lawrence was always a very interesting, warm and kind person to chat with at family events. He would always take the time to say Hello to my husband and I and he had a witty sense of humour. In reading his obituary, it exemplifies the type of wonderful character and loving relationship he had with his family and those around him. Rest in peace, Lawrence. It was a pleasure having known you.
