My deepest condolences at this time of your loss 'Borah Jane'. Quite honestly I cannot believe I came across this and am shocked. I have such fond memories of your Mom and your family growing up in Markham - those Buster Bars in the downstairs freezer and the pancakes are just a couple of them!! She always made me feel like it was a 2nd home and always welcome. Although we have drifted apart I wanted you to know how sad and sorry I am to read this. You know I too lost my Mom now 34 years ago and others through the years. The loss of a Mother is so deep I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and your family.

I have known Aunt Maureen and Uncle Chuck since my birth and their days in KL. She was a dear friend of my mother's as Chuck was a best friend of my father's. I have many fond childhood memories of the four of them getting together in Ottawa, Kirkland Lake, Ses' or Toronto..there was always sharing of experiences, plenty of laughter, the men watching football or talking dentistry and the ladies, as they were, chatting together in a corner. Maureen was a warm and elegant person with a gentle humour who could quieten down and yet support the boisterous gentlemen and children. I recall her love of England's Cadbury chocolate! She seemed the heart of the family and will dearly missed. To Dave, Borah, Frazier and Nick along with the rest of the family please accept our warmest condolences ... speaking on behalf of the Burgmans

Dear Dave, Deborah, Fraser and Nicholas, Our condolence for your mother and grandmother. We keep very good memories for Maureen. When we met your father the first time in Holland (33 years ago) we were invited to stay some time with your mother and father. We had a special time in their house and after that visit we stayed in contact with them. They visited us a number of time in Holland. When your mother came alone we have been visiting her some times. She was always very kind and she took care very well for us. It was a pitty that we lived so far from her. We knew she missed your father very much and we hope she has her rest now with him. We are glad that we have met your mother (and also your father) and we think of her as a very beloved woman and friend. We wish you a lot of strength and we hope we can keep the contact.
