My personal condolence to Dorothy Reesor and all of the family of Murray Reesor and the extended family. In learning of his death, I have come to know how committed he was to the York Chapter and the values of the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society. The Chapter of the Twenty in Niagara, a part of the Pennsylvania Folklore Society of Ontario sends our sympathy to Dorothy Reesor and all of her extended Family on the loss of Murray. Many of our members recall his presence, involvement and achievements over many years at historical events and promotions. My first recollection of Murray was that of him leading a team of oxen in full costume at our local Jordan Museum Pioneer Day. I noted his ability to greet people and inquire about family. We will miss with you our opportunity to greet him. However we also will remember your celebration for a life well lived. It is our wish that the warmth of our collective memories will overcome the current sadness that we feel.
