Obituary of Robert Hurst

Hurst, Robert Burton - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert on September 1, 2013. at the Ajax Pickering Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Toronto on April 14, 1931. Devoted and loving husband to the late Gladys (nee Gibbs).Dear brother to Ron Hurst (Doreen), brother-in-law Joe Gibbs (Blanche), sisters-in-law Nancy Ireland (Norm), Shirley Farwell (James). He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends. A special thank you is sent to the staff at Parkway Retirement Residence for the care and support provided to Robert in his final years. Friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road) Markham, on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
