Obituary of Terrence James McCormick

Peacefully on October 24, 2010 at the age of 89. Terry, devoted husband of Rita for over 60 years. Terry is survived by his brother Leo and was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Mary and siblings Mary, Sarah, Fr. Neil, Ann, Margaret and Vera. Father of Patricia, Neil (Sherrie), Michael (Cory), Terrence Jr. (Catherine), Gregory (Tracy), Bernard (Susan) and Daniel (Marnie). Much loved grandpa Michael, Thelma, Amy, Hannah, Charlotte, Sarah, Thomas, Calder, Hayden, Madeline, Benjamin, Alexandra, Rebecca, William, Kathleen, Connor and Shannon. Graduate of St. Michael's Choir School and St. Michael's College University of Toronto, Terry was a teacher for over 35 years, most recently at Markham District High School (1958 to 1985). He dedicated his life to his family, church and community. He will be missed. The family will receive friend at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham on Monday, November 1st, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, 5633 Highway 7, Markham on Tuesday, November 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Online condolences can be made at www.dixongarland.com.
