I remember the time when I was 11 years old and I got my one and only dog Roman. He was a German Short Haired Pointer which meant his bite was not very hard. Uncle Stan began fighting and wrestling with the dog so roughly that I thought he was hurting the dog. He also had his arm in Romans mouth. I was so scared that I began to cry and ran into the house. Uncle Stan laughed and chased me into the house. After that I was afraid of him for about a year.
Whenever there was a family function I always asked "Who was coming?" If whoever said "Aunt Bessie and Uncle Stan," I knew it would be a good time. He would joke around with everyone and the night would be filled with laughter.
He will be missed and the laughs will never be the same. Thanks Uncle Stan.

Dear Stan I can't call you Uncle, because you were more like my big brother. I have many memories of you. Like the times you and Ron Lawrence would climb up the tree on the front lawn and whistle at the pretty blonde girl as she walked by. The times we would watch the Mickie Mouse Club and when you would take my colouring books. I remember the time Rob fell off the diaper table and you held him most of the night just to make sure he was okay. And the night you found he cut a chunk out of his hair, you told me to not get his hair cut he needed to be taught a lesson. You knew best, he never did again. I will miss you. I am sorry I never told you that I loved you, I did you know. Love Deb
