Obituary of Robert "Bob" George Butler
Butler, Robert (Bob) George, 75
Passed away peacefully, in Naples, Florida surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 due to fatal brain injuries sustained in a sudden accident.
Bob was the loving husband to Marina (Martin) for 53 years. He was a dearly loved father of Wayne, Lynda, William (Bill) and daughter-in-law, Stephanie, and proud grandfather to Sebrena, Alexzandrea, Mitchell and Jacob. He was a beloved brother to Lottie Lewis and Betty Reynolds and brother-in-law, Anthony Martin, uncle to Lee Lewis and Kevin Reynolds, and predeceased by his parents Harold and Mildred Butler.
Bob and Marina bought their first farm in Altona in 1965, where Bob enjoyed raising beef cattle and pigs, and driving his truck. Eventually Bob moved the family to Bloomington Road in Stouffville in 1974, where he grew his disposal business, and his love of Clydesdale horses began. Bob raised, showed, bred and trained his gentle giants.
Bob has been a dedicated member of the Beef Farmers of Ontario and the Clydesdale Association for many years.
A special thank you to the incredible nurses and doctors at the Physicians Regional Pine Ridge Hospital in Naples, Florida; their devotion and care will always be remembered.
