Dearet Elaine, David, Sandra and Carolyn and families..... our hearts werer deeply saddened to hear of Bun's passing. We have only happy memories of him and of all of you. Elaine, you mean so much to Bill and you and Bun were so much a part of his growing up. There were so many happy shared family times with the Bakers, Malcolms, Troyers and McCannels. What great days those were. Bun wearing the fur coat with his overalls on was a great story and picture! WE send our love and our prayers for all of you to find the happy moments in your memories and to know that you are in our hearts with prayers for comfort and healing. We are so sorry we were not able to be there. In our hearts....... Bill and Gail and family

This is the story of how the employees of a small company Lloyd Baker and Sons LTD formed their own union.
When I was working with my Brothers Bun and Clare, Clare was always the boss and always giving us a hard time, so Bun and I threatened to call Sid Ryan the Ontario Union Rep. One day we decided we could form our own Union to improve our working conditions. Which we did, and named it the F.A.R.T Union. We happened to be working at a chicken farm altering and restoring chicken coops when the name suddenly came to us
F-Foul house A- Alterations R- Restoration T- team. Clare was the Boss, Bun was the President of the Union and his wife Elaine was appointed the Executive Secretary to the president. Our coffee meetings became Union meetings, where we would conspire ways to torment Clare. On special occasions like birthdays etc we would send the boss cards addressed from the fart union signed by U R smelly U R lazy etc. We had many meetings full of laughter and every meeting there after became a Union Meeting. I have many good memories of spending time working with my brothers Clare and Bun, and many funny stories to tell. Bun you will always be in my memory and in my heart, and I will miss our times together.
P.S. Carolyn I still have my fart union t-shirt you made me.
Love
George

When I was working with Bun and Dad, at 14 years old, I was learning to cut wood and both Bun and Dad demanded precision.
Bun would give me the length of wood he wanted. 15 3/16. Huh thought I? What's witht his sixteenth non sense I would think.
I went, cut the wood at 15 3/16 and took it back to Bun. He took the wood and before even trying to install it, He measured it, and handed it back. Firmly with his piercing blue eyes looking at me through dust covered glass he said to me " it's to short. Take it back and cut it again". Huh! I puzzled and puzzled till Dad came along and said " get a new piece of wood Bill"! Oh. I get it Lol.
When I measured the wood Bun sent me back with, it was just a hair to short. Not even a full sixteenth off! I was so mad at Bun. I mean really mad. Furious after he sent me back the fourth and fifth time! Each cut too short or too long!
I'm gonna quit!!!!!! Every rejected chunk of wood I took back, I measured was off just a hair!!!
The sixth piece I took to Bun, he
measured it AND with an incredible smile and glowing eyes he said "that'll fit" and he threw it aside and said " now cut me a piece 7'9 3/16.
I got it! What a way to learn exact measures and perfect cuts. Brilliant. Frustrating but brilliant.
I will have to tell you the story of when Bun and Uncle George screwed my lunch pail to the floor! O they thought it was funny ;). I think it was Bun who did it but George got the sly finger pointing tohim from Bun with that cool smile he had essentially saying George did it. in that brotherly kind of way.
Great great memories of working with the 3 Baker brothers. Bun Clare and George. Best building Contractors ever in Markham. Lloyd Baker and Sons LTD. It was exact precision and detail that made them so good. The perfect cuts didn't hurt either LOL
