Obituary of George Presant Feldwick
GEORGE PRESANT FELDWICK
February 6, 1916 - December 19, 2017
Passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital in his 102 year after a brief illness.
George had a long and healthy life which began in England and continued in Canada after WWII. He saw action in the British Army during the war serving with REME (Royal Electric and Mechanical Engineers). Later in Canada he was a journeyman electrician retiring from Ford of Canada in 1976.
Loving father to Ann Feldwick; proud grandfather to Joanne (Manson) Trim and Greg Manson and fond great-grandfather to Maddy and Kate Trim; all of Markham. Dear brother to Joan Leist and the late Jeanne Barton, both of England. Cherished uncle to John Leist (Suzanne) of Stoney Creek, and Sue Parker (Bob) of England; a great-uncle to four grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
George will be sadly missed by staff and friends at Rouge Valley Retirement Home where he had enjoyed living for the past seven years.
A kind thank you to the staff of Markham-Stouffville Hospital for the excellent care they provided.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 9, 2018 at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. North (Markham Rd) Markham, at 11am until time of service in the chapel at 12 noon. Reception to follow.
Donations to Markham-Stouffville Hospital will be greatly appreciated.
