Margy was always that ray of light in my life . Our kids grew up together and she was quick to help in any way ! Never a frown always that huge smile regardless of what was going on with her!! Selfless, giving ,warm friend ...I can only aspire to be like her....Rest in peace my wonderful friend . You will be missed

I am saddened to hear of Margy's passing. Margy and I were colleagues in the addiction field. You should be very proud as she helped make this world a better place for the many people she served. She was kind and compassionate and always had time to bless you with one of those lovely smiles.
I wish for you peace and wonderful memories.

Until we meet again
I think tonight you said good bye.
We had not spoked for several weeks and your broken voice sounded…
Tired. Accepting. Ravaged. Conceding.
Cocooned in the soft arms of daughter and her sweet sweet scent, enveloped in the strength of son, I wonder,
is he twisting your hair into little curls? Oh how you adored that.
Almost at the finish line, sooner than anticipated, imagined.
No gold medal for reaching this finish line.
I think I am at the end of the game, you repeated several times.
You are almost ready? Yes, my body tells me so, I am fatigued, hurting, it is almost time.
What do you need? I cannot think of anything. So there you have it, everything you need, you have.
Are you afraid? I am feeling something unrecognizable, altogether new, but not fear.
I wonder, is it like falling asleep? And I won’t wake up? Someone who has gone before us should send a hint.
Will you be that someone?
Friends of thirty-five years do not say goodbye to one another. Oh yes they do.
And so I must be brave…smile together as memories unfold…”do you remember when?”
In my life I have said good bye to mother, father, sister, soiled friendship.
Today I think you said goodbye, and I am shattered, afraid, alone with my aloneness.
Good bye, my forever friend. Until we meet again.

My heart felt condolences for your incredible loss
I went to Nursing School with Margy many years ago and although we keep in touch for several years after graduation, we lost track of each other in later years. Margy was a wonderful person. A bright light to all who were fortunate to have known her. The world is diminished with her passing. Rest in Peace Margy You will live on in the hearts and memories of us all

Margie was a great person. Not only was she my cousin but also my godmother. She was the kindest, friendliest, sweetest woman I knew. I'm going to miss her so much. My condolences to Meghan, Michael and the rest of the silverthorn family.

Dear Meagan and Mikey,
So sorry about your wonderful mom. She was indeed a ray of sunshine and a trooper. Such a grand spirit, it was an honor and a joy to have been sometime part of her entourage.
You have all the wonderful memories, but both of you are way to young to lose your Mom.
With love and caring.
Francine.

To All of Margy's Family,
On behalf of Addiction Services for York Region, our deepest condolences on your loss. Margy was a very special person. She touched so many lives in a very positive way - our clients and our staff. Margy will be missed by so many of us here at ASYR.
Margy freely gave of herself to anyone who needed the support and will always be remembered for her willingness to help our team, her infectious laugh, her music ability and her skills in working with our clients and staff.
May you draw strength from the memories of the good times you shared over the years during this very sad time.
With deepest sympathies, Penny Marrett
