Obituary of Douglas Fournier

FOURNIER, Douglas James Passed peacefully in his home in Markham on October 31, 2017 at the age of 57. Much loved by friends and family: brothers Joe (Edith) and John, and sister Kathy (Peter). Loving uncle of Jessica, Paul, Stephanie, Katie, and Michael. A celebration of Doug's life to be held on Sunday, November 12th at Markham Museum, 9350 Hwy. 48 (Markham Rd.), Markham. Receiving friends at 1:00pm. Celebration to begin at 1:30pm, followed by food and refreshments. (Private family interment at a later date.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Alzheimer Society. The family wishes to thank doctors John DiCostanzo, Mateya Trinkaus, and Lydia Cheung and the nurses and staff of the Oncology unit of Markham Stouffville hospital for their kindness, compassion and care, including the in-home care team: Dr. Andrew Patterson, Gulla Einarsdottir, and Christine Baird. Doug appreciated everything you did for him. The family also wishes to thank Gary MacRiner for helping Doug in the final months of his life.
