The school at Mongolia was close to the Barkey home, and Lena welcomed me, Jim, and I suspect other Barkey children's friends with kindness and grace. Maybe part of this was the Barkeys getting a TV while my family debated its merits! But later on, as Anne shared Lena's many volumes of newspaper clippings, I realized how much she valued her neighbours and friends, and the collection is an outstanding summary of an important part of my life, too. So a lovely lady has left us with great memories. Condolences Anne, classmate Glenn, Grant. Jim
