Our deepest sympathies to Ruth and family. It was a shock to hear of Kathy's death. Kathy made the world a better place by being in it. She will be dearly missed. She brightened the day when she would stop by Mason House Gardens and share her stories, stories of friends and of gardens and of life. She will always be a part Mason House Gardens. To Ruth and family. On behalf of my Mom, Rose, and myself, Linda, we want to express our sincere condolences on Kathy's passing. You are right to say that her gardens will be an ongoing memory of her love and compassion towards her gardening families. She and her gardens are like family. My Mom will especially remember Kathy's kindness to her, their coffees together, and her sincere compassion towards my Mom who has been going thru chemo since Kathy met her. Kathy was always gentle, kind, and made Mom's place look totally awesome! Thank you Kathy. You will be missed. You will be remembered.

There are no words to describe Kathy. She was amazing at everything she did but for us it was her love of gardens and people. She always had a joke or two and her smile was contagious. I am so saddened to hear of Kathy’s death. I have known her for several years and she loved my garden. We shared long and interesting conversations and thanks to her, the garden has become a sanctuary of verdant peace. Her spirit will linger for a very long time in that place.

My sincere condolences to Ruth and Kathy's family . I grew up around Kathy and have such fond memories of her through such a huge part of my life, being such a dear freind to my Mum Jackie . My sister named her KP, so we all called her KP. KP gave the best hugs, big tight hugs ! Her laugh was contagious. Memories of listening to Kathy and my Mum yakking up a storm over tea, talking about everything in life and lots about gardening .KP will be missed by our family dearly . It is with great sadness that I heard of Kathy's passing. I worked with Kathy on a variety of plantings for Mason Hogue Gardens. Not only was she a hard worker, but a delight to work with. Our time working together planting for the nuns always left us laughing. My condolences to Ruth and the rest of her family.
