Obituary of Irene Sherrard

Irene Sherrard passed away peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on August 28 ,2023 in her 89th year, pre-deceased by her husband Herbert and her sister Grace. Irene will be missed dearly by her brother Harold Margerison. Irene was the loving mother to her children Harry (Aileen), Peter (Donna) and Jane (Phil Miller). Cherished Grandma to Brittany (Benny), Hilary, Luke, Grant, Joel and Owen. Great grandmother to Romeo, Leonardo, and Bianca.

Irene was on born on June 3 1934 in Surrey, England. She came to know the Lord Jesus as her saviour as a young teenaged girl. Irene studied nursing in Northern Ireland, got married and started her family. After 9 years of marriage she was widowed. She immigrated to Unionville, Canada with her 3 children, studied to get her Ontario Nursing Certicate and started her nursing career at Bethany Lodge. Irene's life was one of service and she will always be remembered for her willingness to be available for others. Visitation: Friday September 1st from 6:30pm- 8:30pm and Saturday September 2nd 11 am - 12pm.  Funeral Service Saturday September 2nd 12 noon, followed by reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bethany Lodge.
