Obituary of Eva Bruce

Bruce Eva Eva (nee Elson) Bruce passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital December 9th in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John Bruce, and mother of Sharon (Bruce) Klassen and her husband, Isaac Klassen. A private graveside committal service was held at Melville Cemetery with a reception attended by close friends and family. Pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Genevieve Bruce, and siblings Bill, Norm Lloyd and Gordon Elson, Jean Brown, and Florence Buck. Remembered fondly by sisters Margaret Brown, Shirley and Hilda Davis, and brother Keith Elson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Special appreciation for their many years of friendship and support extended to Grace Eddington, Dale Reid-Traynor, Grace Ramer, and many 5th Line neighbours, including the Bolender, Gaymen, Reesor and Shadlock families. Memorial donations can be given to the Salvation Army The Gateway (Toronto) (for whom she enjoyed knitting countless hats and headbands over many years), or the charity of your choice.
