(August 1, 1948 – July 31, 2026)

 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sharon who left us on the day before her 78th birthday. There will now be an empty chair at family events. Sharon joined the “Canadian Baby Boom” in 1948 arriving in Markham where she spent most of her life having lived and worked in Toronto for many years. Predeceased by parents Frederick Ernest (1996) and Gertrude Florence (1992) and her brother William George (2021) who rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Markham.

Sharon enjoyed a rewarding career at Prudential Insurance while using her free time to travel throughout Europe and the United Kingdom making friends along the way.  Sharon will be missed by cousins Ed (June) Williamson, Ron (Bette) Williamson, Ken (Ginny) Williamson. And also remembered by many cousins and family members in Canada and the UK.

Special thanks from the family to Chartwell Senior Living in Markham and medical team at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care. And sincere gratitude to Zarina, her caregiver for the last 3 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations to MSH would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home on Tuesday August 18th, 2026. Visitation at 11:00 am, Service at 12:00 pm, followed by a Reception.
