Carolyn Elsie Brumpton Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Carolyn Elsie Brumpton on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the age of 58.

Carolyn was a remarkable childcare educator for over 30 years, bringing dedication, compassion, and a true sense of purpose to her work. She touched the lives of countless children and families, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was the beloved partner of Greg, and a devoted and loving mother to Anthony, Alexandra (Joseph), and Alicia (Alexander). Carolyn was a cherished sister to the late John (Nancy), and to Steve (Isabella), Ron, and Janice. She was the daughter of the late Edna and Edward Brumpton, and daughter-in-law to Alice Gulesserian.

She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews—Mason, Christien, Julien, Curtis, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Charlene (who was also her best friend), and Dawne—as well as her extended family, including Joseph and Nyree Gulesserian.

Carolyn will forever be remembered for her deep love of God, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her appreciation for nature and animals.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including her extended Wakefield family, her dear friends and colleagues from the Upper Canada Children’s Centre (Donald Cousens), where she dedicated eighteen years of her life, and her beloved dog, Genie.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation taking place in Markham this Friday, May 8, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home (exact address listed below).

A funeral service will be held this Saturday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Central United Church in Unionville. Interment will follow at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery. A reception will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the main building at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery (exact address listed below).

We look forward to gathering with family and friends to share memories, honor Carolyn’s life, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.

Please consider a donation to Ontario SPCA or Nature Conservancy Canada in Carolyn's honor.
