Patricia Ann Seawright Obituary
January 31, 1941 to March 27, 2026
After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Seawright, in her 86 th year, on March 27, 2026. Pat is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Christine; stepchildren, Susan, Norman, and Cori; grandson, Brad (Stefani); granddaughter, Ciara (Brian); great grandsons, Noah and Ben; and all of her extended family and large network of friends. Pat was predeceased by her late husband, Ron, and her loving grandson, Kyle.
While Pat was small in height, there was nothing small about her personality. She lit up the room with her fashion-forward presence. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she developed an early passion for figure skating which led her to competing in ice dancing at the national level. Pat later moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, to teach skating before ultimately returning to Thunder Bay and meeting her future husband, Ron. Pat and Ron later settled in Markham, Ontario, where they established a deep love of golf and curling.
As a fierce competitor, Pat took great pride in competing in ladies league golf events at Spring Lakes Golf Club and in teaching her grandsons, Kyle and Brad, to love the game. Her patience, precision driving, and “course management” will be remembered by all those who ever had the honour to tee off with her. Pat was also accomplished in the curling rinks. As a member of Unionville Curling Club, Pat competed locally and nationally in senior ladies’ tournaments. She was delighted to serve as President of the Senior Ladies International Curling Club for over a decade, where she hosted annual events in Montebello, Québec to connect curlers from around the world.
Pat was proud of the accomplishments of her family. She loved to share stories of her daughter’s success in equestrian, her grandsons’ careers, and every moment she could spend with her beloved great grandsons.
Pat was a force and an unwavering support for those she loved. For those who did not know her, we are sorry for your loss. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to
