Carolyn Catherine Middleton Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Middleton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many, who left this world peacefully on February 28, 2026,

surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on February 26, 1947, in Toronto, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of William and Catherine Austin. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Barry Middleton, their cherished son, Aaron Middleton, and her loving parents. Though they have gone before her, the reunion in heaven is a comforting thought for those who loved her dearly.

Carolyn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of adventure, love, and joy. She was a woman of many passions, with a spirit as vibrant as the color pink she adored. Her love for the sun and surf was evident in her many travels, and her heart found peace in the gentle embrace of the ocean. Swimming and scuba diving were more than hobbies; they were expressions of her boundless zest for life. An avid reader and gardener, Carolyn cultivated both her mind and her surroundings with the same tender care she showed to her family. Music was the soundtrack to her life, a constant companion that brought joy and solace in equal measure.

Carolyn was known for her warm, infectious smile and her kindness, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. She had a heart that loved deeply and a spirit always willing to help those

in need. She will be deeply missed by her children, Dina (Andrew), Barry, and Aaron (deceased); her beloved grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle), Cierra (Joseph), Brienna (Evans), and Brayden; her great-grandchild, John Evans; and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

A celebration of life will be held on May 30, 2026, at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home in Markham. Visitation at 10 am and service at 12 noon. In her honor, donations can be made to the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario at https://www.therapeutictouchontario.org.

Mom, please give Dad and Aaron a kiss from us, oh to see that reunion in heaven. We will miss you dearly forever. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”
