Dorothy Mary Brocklebank passed away peacefully at Moira Place Long Term Care in Tweed, Ontario Feb 19/2026 in her 103rd year.

Loving wife of the late Kenneth Bretherton and loving mother to Norman Bretherton (Judy), and grandmother to two grandchildren Mandy Young(Ryan) and Craig Bretherton (Tara), and great grandmother to seven grandchildren, Faith, Mitchell, Emily, Sophie, Reegan, Blake, and Rory.

Mary was the daughter to the late Dorthy Alice Trevelyan and Samuel Trevelyan.  

In 2008 Mary met and married Melvyn Brocklebank.  They had five very happy years together, until Mel passed sadly in 2013.  Mary was happily given three stepchildren Gayle (Vincent) (Danny), Dennis (Jill) and Bryan (Ellen) and step grandchildren Nichole, Sameer, Scott, Geoffrey, Katherine, Sean, Daniel and Rebecca.

Funeral Services will be at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 143 Main Street North, Markham, ON. Friday Feb 27,2026.

Visitation from 11 to 12 with service and burial to follow.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Alzheimer's Society or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, or a charity of your choice.
