Obituary of Donald Lynn Morrison
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the age of 74. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Russell. Beloved father of Jamie (Jacki) and Kelly (Dave). Proud grandfather of Cole, Ryann, Nate and Callan. Loving son of the late Lynn and Marion. Dear brother of Robert (Anne) and late sister Barbara (Don). Don loved his family to the fullest; his sweetness, patience, humor, and unconditional love touched everyone lucky enough to know him. He loved nothing more than time at the cottage, casting a line in the water, or building something with his hands, but it was his family who brought him true happiness — and he loved them more than anything in this world.
Family and friends will be gathering for a Celebration of Life for Don at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North, Markham on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. A service will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m., followed by refreshments in the reception room at 2 p.m. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their outstanding care of Don, specifically Dr. Cardenas, Dr. Boudakian, Dr. Yuen, and Dr. Um.
