In Loving Memory of Jordan Kocovski
May 21, 1928 – December 8, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Jordan Kocovski, who entered eternal rest on December 8, 2025.
Jordan was born on May 21, 1928, in the village of Gradesnica, Macedonia — the youngest of two children of Dano Kocovski and Projka Mojanchevska. In 1945, he married his lifelong love, Evdokija Dojoshevska (predeceased), and together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and perseverance.
In the summer of 1980, Jordan and Evdokija immigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, support his children, and help raise his grandchildren. For more than 30 years, Jordan was a devoted and active member of the St. Clement’s of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral of Toronto. He will be especially remembered for passing on the church’s patron day, St. Clement, on December 8, 2025. He gave of himself his unwavering dedication to church and God.
Jordan will also be lovingly remembered for his service as a soldier in the Macedonian Army and as a volunteer and advent member of the Canadian veterans’ community. He had a deep passion for his garden (“bafcha”) and took great pride in his work as a gardener.
Jordan is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:
• Daughter: Poli Markovska and husband Kiril Markovski — grandchild Emil Markovski (wife Natasha), great-grandchildren Andrian and Darian.
• Son: Dano Kocovski and wife Lilijana kocovska — grandchild Zoran (wife Gina), great-grandchildren Vasil, Aris, and Yana.
• Grandchild: Jordan Kocovski.
• Grandchild: Mary Schinzano (husband Leonardo )— great-grandchildren Michaela and Lilijana.
• Grandchild: Marina Boseovski (husband Nikola )— great-grandchildren Trajko, Ana, and Emilija.
• Daughter: Nada Matevska and husband Pece Matevski.
• Grandchild: Pavlina Jankulovski (husband Goran)-great-grandchildren Angela and Andrej.
• Grandchild: Snežana Micevski (husband Igor)— great-grandchildren Emma and Martin.
Jordan was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. His stories, his laughter, and his warm presence will forever remain in our hearts. He lived a life guided by faith, family, and tradition. He was proud of his Macedonian heritage and deeply devoted to his church and family.
Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with those who went before him, resting in God’s eternal light. As the Orthodox tradition teaches — “Memory Eternal.” May his memory be eternal.
