Shirley Marie Shipley nee Holdcroft. 

Born March 27, 1935 in Havelock, Ontario to Dr. Donald James & Hazel Holdcroft. Passed away peacefully November 28, 2025 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George in 2020. Loving Mother of Ayn, Bill (Carole), and Diane (John). Proud Nanny of Spencer (Megan) and Jenny (Owen). Excited to become a Great Grandmother in 2026. Predeceased by sisters Betty & Dorothy. She was loved and will be missed by brothers Jim (Marie) and Bill (Anne) and many nieces and nephews. 

She was a wonderful cook, hostess, Mother, and Nanny. She was a great Bridge player and enjoyed all games especially card games. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, swimming, traveling especially France, Ireland and Austria. She & George enjoyed their winters away in Florida and Arizona. She grew up and spent most summers at her family cottage on Kosh Lake, even celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary at Kosh with all the family. She was very active in her Anglican Church women’s group and loved being an active volunteer at Grace Church. She was a Girl Guide Leader, a board member of the Engineers Wives Club and the Canadian Club. 

Visitation Thursday, December 4, 11:00 am. Funeral Service 12:00 noon followed by a reception. Dixon Garland Funeral Home, Markham.
