Obituary of Ronald Brownsberger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Brownsberger on November 14th, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Margaret, father of Dave (Sherri Handy) and Ann (Kevin Harmer), step father to (predeceased) Theresa (Alan Yoshioka).  Much loved grandfather of Marlon, Joshua, Nathan, Ashley, Myah, Zachary and Ethan. Ron was the son of Sam and Ruth Brownsberger and greatly admired his brother, Jim (predeceased), and his family in Indiana.  Ron had many music contacts through his service as organist and choir master at many churches: Springvale, Whitevale, Grace Anglican and Stouffville United to name a few.  He spent 36 years as a teacher in East York Schools and at William Armstrong in Markham. He cherished his involvement with Markham Little Theatre building award winning sets.  He was involved in many community organizations, especially ones where he 'could make the world a better place'. Interment will be for family only.  Visitation will be at Springvale Church 3885 Stouffville Rd at Kennedy Rd from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday November 22nd with a memorial service at 12:30pm. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Springvale Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Evergreen Palliative Care Physicians.
