Obituary of Joan Lever

Joan Louise Lever (née Greensides)

Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Gord Lever. Predeceased by her brother Bill, granddaughter Jennifer, and too many cherished pets to mention. Loving mother of Karen (Mark Green) and Jim (Kathy). Proud grandmother of Kristen, Leanne, Holly, Kelly, and Donovan, and great-grandmother of Callum and Killian.
A resident of Markham for over 60 years, Joan was a devoted parishioner of Grace Anglican Church, where she nurtured her faith and friendships for a lifetime. She will be remembered for her kindness, her quick wit, her love of animals, and the warmth she brought to everyone she met.

Visitation will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Markham, on Sunday, November 9, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at Grace Anglican Church, Markham, on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB, Grace Anglican Church, or the Farley Foundation for veterinary care in Joan’s memory.
