Brian Stanley Kennedy passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2025, after a bravely fought battle with cancer.
Born in Haliburton, Ontario, to Gordon and Doreen (Pocock) Kennedy, Brian grew up in Fenelon Falls and graduated from Ryerson. He and his wife Linda were long-time residents of Markham, where they raised their family and built a home filled with love and laughter.
Brian had a decades-long, satisfying and successful career with 3M Canada. Retirement was spent traveling, wintering in Florida, fishing, golfing, playing snooker, and doting on his granddaughters.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 50 years, Linda; his children Tara, Brynne, and Joey (Chiara); and his cherished granddaughters Olivia and Adelyn. He will be deeply missed by his brother Bob and fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends.
Brian’s children adored him for his warmth, humour, and the unwavering love and guidance he gave them. He will be remembered as a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Bill, and his daughter-in-law Jamie Lee.
In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Condolences may be shared at www.dixongarland.com.
