(1973-2025)

After an almost three year battle with cancer, Diane Marlatt passed peacefully away in her sleep on Friday, September 19th, 2025 while surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her husband David and her children Laura and Owen, parents George and Krista Watson, and sister Karen (Matt). An unfailingly positive person and inspiring teacher, Diane had a huge impact on her community and the hundreds of students who walked through her doors. She will be missed greatly by them, the many friends who supported and loved her, and her family. She loved gardening, trips to the cottage, and a classic cocktail. Her family and friends will continue to celebrate her every day, and give their thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Cancer Clinic for their outstanding care during the course of her illness. In lieu of flowers or food sent to the family, donations to the Markham Stouffville Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
