Obituary of Jennifer Lynn Hume

Jennifer Hume, 51, of Stouffville, passed away suddenly at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on September 17, 2025.

Born in North York on June 14, 1974, Jennifer was the cherished daughter of George and Carol Hume. She grew up in Stouffville, attended Stouffville District Secondary School, and went on to graduate from Bishop’s University and the University of Wollongong.

Jennifer dedicated her career to teaching, and for the past 20 years she was a devoted elementary school teacher at Wilclay Public School. She touched countless young lives with her kindness, patience, and love of learning.

She will be deeply missed by her parents, George and Carol, her brother James (Lisa), and her beloved nephews, Robert and Michael. Jennifer treasured time spent with her family, especially at the cottage on Indian Point at Balsam Lake, which was her happy place.
