Phyllis Nichols

Obituary of Phyllis Dorothy Nichols

At 76 years Phyllis lived 100 lifetimes. She reinvented herself many times over, often from times of difficulty. But she never stopped or gave up.

She was full of strength, determination, audacity, fierce stubbornness, and of course love—she left her mark on every one she met.

She was the proud mother of three children Bridget, Brant, and Andrew, Mother Inlaw to Travis, Tracy and Nicola, grandmother of eight Jonathan, Samantha, Trent, Quentin, Max, Hannah, Ella and Isaac, and great-grandmother of one Baby Benjamin.

For the past 22 years, she found great joy in reconnecting with family—taking trips to New York, sharing outings with aunts, uncles, and cousins, enjoying diner meals, and savoring lobster rolls—treasuring the moments she had missed as a child.

Phyllis was always hardworking and determined. At 49, instead of slowing down, she went back to school and became a registered nurse—something she was deeply proud of. She had once said she finally knew what she wanted to be when she grew up.

In Nursing she reinvented herself again, She cared deeply for her patients, and along the way she built lasting friendships with colleagues who became like family, and she cherished those connections.

We will all remember her sense of humour and phyllisisms!

Her legacy is one of resilience, devotion, and determination. She showed us the importance of hard work, the strength in standing your ground.

We will miss her deeply, but her lessons and her love will stay with us always.

Thank you, Mom we will love you always
