McLEOD, Vivienne Sheila Calder (née Jackson)

It is with great sadness that we announce Sheila’s peaceful passing at Kensington Gardens Long-term Care Home on Saturday June 28th. She was in her 93rd year of a happy and eventful life. Sheila was predeceased by her dear husband Alex and a loving mother to Sally (Steve), Duncan (Angie), and Blair (Nickey). She was a proud grandma to Vivian, Ian, Irene, Katelyn (Chris), Gregory, Victoria, Julianna, Angelica, David (aka Ashton), Mason, Michelle, Keanna, John and Jayne, and a great-grandma to David, Mya, Noa, Rowen, Phoenix, Isabella, and little Maeve.

Visitations will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 7th at 11 am in the chapel at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, followed by an interment at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough. Following the graveside service, all are invited to join the family at a reception, onsite at Pine Hills, for refreshments and sharing of stories. We encourage attendees to wear bright, happy colours as Sheila would have wanted.

The family would like to extend a huge thank-you to the excellent staff at Kensington Gardens for caring for Sheila so well for the past 6 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kensington Health Foundation or Covenant House. Online condolence messages can also be posted on the Dixon-Garland website.
