Mrs. Spence was my Gr 7 Core teacher in 1979. I remember her and that class very fondly. Like with all of my teachers I wish had the foresight in the moment to truly thank her (and them) and express how lucky I was to have grown up in the Pleasantview community. My deepest condolences to Mr. Spence and family.

Carol will always be remembered for her love of her family, her courage in facing adversity and her contagious laugh. No matter what came her way, good or bad, she was determined to deal with it and move on with her life. She loved her family above all else. They came first in her life.
If you were lucky enough to work with Carol as I was, you became a better teacher just watching her. If she became your friend, you were even luckier.Despite leading a very busy life, she always made time for you. What made Carol even more special, was her ability to break out in laughter if she heard a funny comment from a student or teacher in the room. she was an incredible teacher and listener and those qualities made her able to hear the voices of others and respond.

Carol was the best Rondeau neighbour we could have asked for and the best golf buddy around! We did more gabbing than golfing, but that was the fun of it! Sending hugs to John, Kathryn and family from the entire Thomson clan.

Al and I are so sad to hear of Carol’s passing. She was a vivacious, gracious, beautiful woman who was quick with a smile and hug. I admired Carol and her dedication to her family and friends and her determined spirit to fight for them for every moment she had to share with them.
Carol will be terribly missed.

To John, Kathryn and family;
Our Sympathy is with you. In time ,I hope your memories will bring you peace and comfort.
When I think of Carol, I remember her beautiful smile and laugh.
We were cousins but I felt we were like sisters. We had so much fun spending holidays together
in our youth and on a few occasions when we were older. Carol was also a great support when I faced
some challenging times.
