The year was 1982 when I opened my very own gift store in the brand new Markville Shopping Centre in the 'tiny town of Markham,Ontario. Our sales were rather slow especially for a new business venture and so we struggled. One day an 'Angel' came into the store and into my life and applied for employment. Betty said that she had previous experience but what struck me was her enthusiasm, positivity and passion. I was so grateful when I hired Betty and she accepted the position but Betty was not just an employee, she was my assistant manager, the 'Den Mother' of all the KO'S girls, and most of all my friend. For me, Betty was like my Mom, guiding, encouraging and supporting me and the store throughout our journey of over 30 years. I am so very grateful that Angel Betty came into my life and I will cherish the the beautiful memories and hear your voice every day. Love you always.

I have many fond memories of my Aunt Betty. We lived apart for most of my adult years but during my teen years, she and Uncle Robin tirelessly hosted family Christmas dinners. A big smile and an apron on, that will be how I remember her!
My deepest condolences to her family and friends.❤️
