We just found out today, April 3rd., that Ted had passed away. We will miss his chats over the balcony and spirited discussions re - the Blue Jays & of course the Leafs. Ted was truly a devoted husband to his beloved Betty, whom we also miss. The times we met up as Snowbirds in Florida with he and Betty will also hold fond memories for us. Rest In Peace, dear friend.

My sincere condolences to the Taylor family.
Uncle Ted was one of the best men I’ve ever met, he was a true sports enthusiast. He followed me along my hockey journey ever since I was a little kid, he would follow every team I went to, every game I played. I admired Ted and I strive to be just like him.
Uncle Ted will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. I’ll always remember you Uncle Ted and the amazing memories I have of you and Aunt Betty.
My sincere condolences,
Thomas Melancon

Ted was a great friend in Lake Ashton and in Markham. His love of sports shone through in all of his stories, most of which were interesting, but some were a little long, prompting Betty to say, "That's enough Ted. They've all heard the story before." Betty was an impeccable host, renowned for her dinner parties. Ted carried on this tradition by hosting a group of us for dinner in Lake Ashton only two months ago, in between baseball games of course. Right up to the end, Ted was full of life, enjoying his sports; and even more than that, enjoying his family and friends.
I (Ken) had the privilege of toasting Betty and Ted at their 50th wedding anniversary celebration. They were different personalities who complemented each other perfectly. As individuals and as a couple, they were role models for us all. Betty passed a short time ago, and now we have lost Ted as well. We all have suffered a great loss, but we can smile knowing that Betty and Ted are together again, laughing and enjoying eternity together.
Our sincere condolences go to Ted's family who are devoted and caring children and grandchildren. May the hole in your hearts be filled with the many happy and wonderful memories of your Dad and Baba.
All our love,
Heather & Ken (Miyauchi)

It was with great sadness that we heard of Ted's passing so soon after his and the family's loss of Betty. Our condolences to you all. We have such fond memories etched on our hearts, of his love and respect for others and of our visits to Sir Galahad Place to stay with Ted Betty and of them visiting us in Tugby, Leicestershire. When children were around, Ted would always take the opportunity to 'play ball'. Ted always had something to say, a question to ask and a story or two, to tell. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Taylor family as you grieve. May your tears turn to joy with the loving memories of Ted.

Our sincere condolences to the Taylor family. I met Ted many years ago when I first joined the MMRHL. It was always a good year when you were assigned to a team with Ted. When we first met he went out of his way to make you feel welcome and before long you were involved in his interesting family and sports discussions, He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing Ted.

I have known Ted for about 50 years, first in Markham playing hockey and slo pitch and for the last 12 years in Lake Ashton Florida. In Florida Ted, Betty, Sherry and I. would meet regularly at dinner parties, at the pool spa and occasionally go to Ted’s favourite restaurant. (Carrabbas). Ted had an incredible memory for people, places and events. When we would get together he always had a story to tell. He was especially enthusiastic when the story involved his children and grandchildren. Sherry and I send our condolences to the family and hope you are comforted by knowing that Ted lived life to the fullest. Ted and Betty were great people to be around and we will miss them.

Our thoughts are with you all at such a sad time. The world feels a smaller place without Ted's smile, enthusiasm and love for life. I never remember him cross or unhappy and with his beloved Betty he features in some of the happiest memories of my life. He has shown such immeasurable kindness to me and my family across the years, always making unprecedented effort to support family both close and distant. He epitomised great fatherhood and was a family man through and through. Our thoughts are with you all as you navigate this tragic loss. Hugh, Anne, Dominic, Francesca, Marianne, Julian, Mia, Luca and Milo.

Hockey, baseball, beers afterwards. These are some of the things that I will miss most about Ted.
My condolences to the family, I know how much he loved his children and how much he lived his life through them. I will miss him, And I will also unfortunately miss the opportunity to celebrate his life. I’m still in Arizona and I’m very very sorry that I won’t be able to celebrate his life on the 28th.
Somebody, make sure that his famous green bat lives on. It has had more hits in it than any other bat in the history of Markham baseball.
Once again, my condolences.

Ted was a very welcoming and gracious person. He would tell people that he would introduce me to, that I was the only other person he knew that had been to Bunbury Australia. He was all about family. A great loss to his family and to all that knew him.
Rest in Peace Ted you will be missed.
