Dee came to Ashlane Farms, from Stouffville when she and Don were married. It was the city girl coming to the country but she jumped right in, knowing nothing of farming life. She worked hard alongside Don, milking, feeding , cooking three meals a day for the farm helpers, running meals out to the fields, making sure the house ran smoothly, along with raising their four children. There was always food on the table for whoever showed up and she was well known for her baking, especially her butter tarts.
We would like to thank the caregivers at Country Home for the compassionate care and love that was shown to her during her four years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RMHC and the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada
