June Ann Castilho Obituary

June Ann Castilho, in her 86th year, of Markham, Ontario, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Mandarin Restaurant in Markham on Saturday March 8, 2025 at 11:30am. June was born in Georgetown, Guyana and emigrated first to the U.K. then relocated to Canada when she was in her mid-twenties. While in Canada, she strived to be independent. She took on various roles and recently worked as a personal support worker. She worked well into her golden years by helping the elderly and those who were not able to help themselves. June’s heart of gold will be missed.


June is survived by her nieces and nephews: Deborah Ferreira, Kathryn Delory, Michele Carroll, Christine Wight, Angela Liantzakis, Debbie Howell, Jennifer Azzopardi, Maria Del Castilho, Derek Del Castilho, Chris Del Castilho, Bryan Farnum, Jonathan Farnum, Colin Farnum and Great nephew Christopher Farnum; and brothers Derrick Castilho (Joan, predeceased wife) and David Del Castilho, and the late brother Ronald Del Castilho who is survived by Doris Del Castilho (wife); and the late brother Michael Del Castilho (Vera, wife); and the brother-in-law Owen Farnum (Carol, predeceased wife).
