I was saddened to learn of John's passing. Condolences to Vivien and family, I knew John as a parishioner at St. Patrick's Parish, as a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a fellow golfer... although we were members of different golf clubs, whenever we met, golf was a topic of discussion. John certainly was a gentleman, who displayed the highest qualities of integrity and dignity... another good man has left us! Unfortunately, while I will not be able to attend the funeral Mass, as I am visiting family in Calgary, I intend to participate in the livestream presentation. Prayers and kindest regards. I had the pleasure of golfing with John many times at Whitevale golf club. He was a true gentleman with a terrific sense of humour. John enjoyed life and was great company. He will be missed. RIP John.

Growing up I spent much time in the Doyle Household. I was made to feel like an extended member of his family. I was always greeted by John with a smile and a warm welcome. Condolences to the Doyle family. I had the pleasure to treat John a number of times over the years. Such a fine man. Quite a gentleman who had a great sense of humor.
