Ralph and I go back at least 50 years in the philatelic specialty of reentries. I lucked out and found a number of such which he enjoyed; some are shown on his site. In fact, he honored me by dedicating a page to me! He was responsible for several decades of my philatelic enjoyment. RIP, Ralph. To write that you will be missed is a gross understatement. Warren L. A Tribute to a Great Man...(it took me a while, as I was grieving and remembering this amazing person). Mr. Trimble was my Grade 2 Teacher (1984-1985) at Secord Public School. He had a strong influence and made a huge impact on my life (as I am sure, many others as well). I was not aware of his other accomplishments and personal life too much, to me Mr. Trimble was just "My Favourite Teacher". Ralph Trimble was the only teacher I cried over when moving to the next grade (even though in his classroom was right next door). 40 years now and his name is constantly mentioned in my household. Mr. Trimble was a gentle, kind and exemplary human being. He was the first adult to treat me like an equal and show me respect. I will never forget this beautiful man. I let him know of the impact he had on my life and the person I have become a few times, but he always remained humble. A few of us former students were even planning a Tribute Party for him (which he graciously declined). Therefore, I am also writing this tribute on behalf of the many past students who may not have the opportunity to express how they felt about Mr. Trimble. Ralph Trimble's name was (and still is) mentioned at least a few times a week on the FB Secord Group. He is a legend. He was an exceptional person who's legacy will live on in and through all his past students: His children. Beloved by many and forever remembered. Mr. Trimble will eternally remain in all our hearts.

Ralph was one of the hardest working, funny, warm -hearted people I have ever encountered. We were pretty close as awkward teenagers stumbling along the halls of Riverdale Collegiate, along with Greg and Fred. Spent most of our lunches eating unhealthy foods while walking around the Riverdale community. When young, we all lacked much confidence, but Ralph blossomed into a very capable young man. I remember his first months with the guitar, which he mastered. He. Became a fine teacher and a brilliant expert with stamps. His love of his wife was profound indeed. One of the finest people that I ever met! Sweet dreams, Ralph!
